Copyright and rights complaints

Last updated: October 6, 2026

How to report unauthorized use of your work, impersonation or another rights violation on Astarly.

Respect for rights

Creators retain ownership of their work, subject to the licenses they grant under the Terms or a separate creator agreement. Buying access to a course does not transfer copyright or permit re-uploading, resale or public distribution.

Send a copyright complaint

Email [email protected] with the subject “Copyright complaint”. A clear, specific notice helps us identify the material and assess your request.

  • Identify the original work and the rights owner; include an original source link if available.
  • Provide the exact Astarly URLs of the allegedly infringing material.
  • Give your name, contact email and, where needed for a formal notice, mailing address and telephone number. Explain your authority if acting for someone else.
  • State that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the rights owner, their representative or the law.
  • Confirm the accuracy of your notice and, under penalty of perjury for a formal US copyright notice, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
  • Include your physical or electronic signature.

What happens next

We may seek clarification, restrict access while reviewing a complaint, or remove infringing material. We may share relevant complaint details with the uploader so they can respond, while limiting unnecessary disclosure.

Repeated infringement may lead to loss of publishing privileges or account termination. Consider permissions, licenses and applicable legal exceptions before making a claim.

If your content was removed

If you believe removal was a mistake, reply to the notice or email [email protected]. Include the affected URL, an explanation and evidence of permission or another lawful basis. Where a statutory counter-notice procedure applies, we will explain the required details and applicable process.

Knowingly false claims or responses may have legal consequences.

Privacy, impersonation and other complaints

Being depicted in a photo does not by itself make you the copyright owner. For non-consensual images, impersonation, privacy or trademark concerns, describe the specific right and harm, identify the content and provide evidence of your connection to the affected person or business. Do not attach illegal imagery.
